HF DATA & MESSAGING SOFTWARE

HF data and messaging software, built on a third-generation automatic link establishment (3G ALE) waveform, that carries secure peer-to-peer email, file transfer, and chat across the HF network.

Book a Demo

Running on 3G ALE, SprintNet establishes links fast and holds them through the marginal channel conditions where older 2G data solutions stall. That speed is the difference between a message that lands and a message that times out. Operators send email, transfer files, and message peer to peer over the same HF network they already use for voice, so there's no second network to manage and no new procedure to learn. The interface borrows the look of everyday internet messaging applications, which keeps training light and cognitive load low under pressure. The result is a data layer that keeps moving when the channel does not.

In a coalition or interagency network, messages have to cross boundaries that radios alone cannot. The SprintNet gateway is what crosses them: it bridges the HF Sprint network to internet and LAN email systems and to the mobile phone network through a GSM modem. SprintNet reaches every 3G-enabled transceiver in the network, not only the stations running the application, so units already deployed stay inside the messaging picture. Messages send peer to peer, or broadcast to all stations, and the link stays up between exchanges to keep airtime efficient. Headquarters staff compose and read messages exactly as they would on any office system with secure email, file transfer, and chat run across a single architecture.

Security on an HF data link starts before the first message moves. SprintNet protects link setup with a user-programmable 56-bit link protection key and built-in anti-spoofing, so hostile parties cannot establish links or interfere with traffic on the network. All over-air traffic can be encrypted with AES-256, keeping email, files, and messages confidential from the field station through to the gateway. The 3G ALE waveform sustains those links in degraded conditions that defeat legacy data systems, adapting to the channel rather than failing under it. SprintNet is in service on military and government HF networks where infrastructure-independent messaging is the requirement, not the preference.

3G ALE DATA

Third-generation ALE waveform. Fast, reliable HF data linking where 2G systems fail.

SPRINTNET GATEWAY

Bridges the HF network to internet email, LAN, and the mobile phone network via GSM modem.

AES-256 ENCRYPTION

Optional AES-256 on all over-air traffic. Email, files, and messages stay confidential.

EASE OF USE

Intuitive multi-lingual GUI modelled on everyday messaging apps. Minimal training required.

LINK PROTECTION

User-programmable 56-bit link protection key and anti-spoofing guard against hostile interference.

PEER-TO-PEER & BROADCAST

Send to one station or all. Links stay up between messages to maximise air-time efficiency.

INTEROPERABILITY

Reaches every 3G-enabled transceiver in the network, not only stations running the application.

MISSION OUTCOME

SprintNet delivers fast, secure HF data and messaging for programmes that operate where fixed infrastructure ends, carrying email, files, and chat across the HF network and bridging it to internet email and the mobile phone network. For teams that need protected, infrastructure-independent messaging with AES-256 encryption, 56-bit link protection, and the speed of the 3G ALE waveform, SprintNet keeps mission data moving when other paths close.
