MANET Mesh Data Radios for Maritime Security Operations

Maritime Interdiction Operations demand end-to-end connectivity between the mothership, the RHIB, the boarding officer and the boarding party. Broadband communications at sea are hard to sustain without costly SATCOM, and existing links are typically voice-only, expensive, unreliable or insecure.

DTC’s MeshUltra waveform delivers MANET IP connectivity for secure Full Motion Video and audio. Its proprietary COFDM waveform excels in the reflective RF environment of a ship’s superstructure, penetrating and reflecting between decks and bulkheads, while each boarding-party radio acts as a repeater for shared situational awareness from inside the target vessel. Range can be extended by another maritime or air asset, or backhauled over SATCOM so commanders ashore can monitor operations in near real time.

Proven on naval USVs, ships and UAVs worldwide, the system gives boarding teams and commanders the real-time picture that keeps interdictions safe and effective.
