When marginal HF channels stop older data systems, Sprint keeps messages moving. SprintChat and SprintNet use the latest generation 3G ALE waveform to deliver fast, secure linking in challenging conditions. Peer-to-peer email, file transfer, and chat are supported across the network, with a familiar multi-lingual interface that keeps operators focused on essential information. Sprint also holds the data link between stations, allowing multiple messages to move in either direction without repeated link re-establishment.

CHAT, FILES, SMS, AND EMAIL

From short chat messages to external email, the software carries the key traffic types teams rely on across HF. Operators can send peer-to-peer or broadcast chat messages, transfer files, resize images for faster on-air delivery, and use standard POP3 email clients. SprintNet extends the network further, acting as a gateway between HF, internet and LAN email systems, and mobile phone networks via GSM modem. It can also reach 3G-enabled transceivers not running the application, keeping every node in the 3G ALE network contactable.

ENCRYPTED AND SPOOF RESISTANT

Secure HF data needs protection against both interception and interference. Over-the-air transmissions can be secured with AES-256 encryption, while antispoofing techniques and a programmable 56-bit linking protection key help prevent unauthorised interference with 3G ALE links. Built on proven 3G ALE technology and compatible with Codan S4538 3G ALE-enabled transceivers, this solution delivers secure data communications where conditions are at their worst.

Chat up to 250 characters peer-to-peer or broadcast, with the data link held open so multiple messages flow without re-linking.

All over-the-air data transmissions can be encrypted using AES-256, protecting data security and integrity.

ANTISPOOFING PROTECTION

Antispoofing techniques and a programmable 56 bit linking protection key prevent spoofing of 3G ALE links.

SMS AND EMAIL GATEWAY

A SprintNet gateway bridges the HF network to internet, LAN email, and the mobile phone network via a GSM modem.

FILE TRANSFER

File transfers appear in the message thread and open directly, with image resizing for faster on-air transfer.

NETWORK-WIDE REACH

Reaches the UI of 3G-enabled transceivers not running Sprint, so every node in the 3G ALE network is contactable.
