The BluSDR-30 is a 2W software defined radio module that carries a self-healing tactical mesh across medium-range UxV links up to 30km on small drone platforms.
Medium-range UxV missions need more link margin without adding unnecessary payload weight. The BluSDR-30 delivers 2 W total RF output from two COFDM transceivers, with adaptive modulation, selectable bandwidths, and precise power control to balance range and throughput. Built on DTC’s SOL8SDR architecture, it allows waveform and role changes through firmware and licensing rather than hardware redesign.
Platform integration depends on the right connections. BluSDR-30 supports Gigabit Ethernet, RS-232, dual USB, RNDIS Ethernet over USB, headset audio, and USB-C power delivery on selected variants. As a MANET radio, it forms a MeshUltra-X self-healing network of up to 144 nodes, with every node able to originate and relay traffic as airframes, vehicles, or fixed sites join the mesh.
UxV links have to survive movement, interference, weather, and unstable field conditions. The BluSDR-30 includes EMC screening, overvoltage protection, DES as standard, and optional AES128/AES256 encryption for protected MeshUltra operation. The Robust Boxed variant is sealed to IP68, giving integrators a rugged option for exposed installations where water, dust, and handling are part of the mission.
Two COFDM transceivers deliver 1W (+30dBm) per output for 2W total, with 0.25dB incremental control.
Tuned for medium-range UxV links up to 30km on small drone platforms and mobile nodes.
MeshUltra-X MANET waveform forms a self-healing mesh of up to 144 nodes with capacity up to 87Mbps.
Clamshell and Plain variants accept USB-C power compliant with USB PD, direct from device or battery.
Gigabit Ethernet, RS-232 serial, dual USB, and on-board headset audio cover most payload interfaces.
Robust Boxed variant rated IP68, with EMC screening included across the module range.
Optional AES128/256 accredited to FIPS140-2 for MeshUltra. Internal microSD 128GB onboard storage.

BluSDR-30 delivers a full 2W of software defined radio power for medium-range UxV missions up to 30km without forcing an interface or sealing compromise. Operators gain a self-healing tactical mesh of up to 144 nodes, AES128 and AES256 encryption accredited to FIPS140-2, and Gigabit Ethernet with USB-C PD powering. An IP68 Robust Boxed option handles sealed, wet field conditions. Across small drones, mobile teams, and fixed nodes, the BluSDR-30 keeps the link alive in contested spectrum.
