ENCRYPTION KEY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

Windows-based key management and key fill applications for Codan HF transceivers, taking encryption keys from generation to loaded on the radio through one simple interface.

Book a Demo

Encryption keys are critical for communications security. Running from a standard Windows interface, not specialist hardware, KMS configures encryption keys and frequency hop plans, and writes them into a key set file ready for the radio. Generate the keys once. Load them when the mission demands.

A single key management workflow covers the Codan HF range, enabling the network to run consistent keys across different radios, maintaining interoperability where encryption types differ. Keys load the way the deployment allows. Connect over VCOM virtual COM ports or through a key set on a USB memory stick for extreme mobility.

The suite reaches beyond the radio, and keeps every fill under control. KMS and KFS write AES-256 and CES-128 keys to standalone Codan encryptors, including the 3590 DV Encryptor, the 3591 Voice Encryptor, and the 3592 Digital Voice Unit. In-built security stops keys being filled into unauthorised devices, so each key reaches only the hardware cleared to hold it. Whole fleet. Full control.

WINDOWS INTERFACE

Simple Windows-based interface for both applications. No specialist hardware needed to manage keys.

KEY GENERATION

KMS configures encryption keys and frequency hop plans and builds secure key plans into a key set file.

ENCRYPTION SUPPORT

Generates and fills keys for AES-256 and CES-128 voice and data encryptors.

FLEXIBLE KEY FILL

KFS, VCOM virtual COM ports over USB, or a USB memory stick. Load keys the way the deployment allows.

Application suite KMS (Key Management Software) and KFS (Key Fill Software)
Platform Microsoft Windows
KMS function Configure encryption keys and frequency hop plans, generate secure key plans, and fill a key set file to a Codan HF transceiver
KFS function Fill a key set file to a Codan HF transceiver
Compatible transceivers 2110 Series manpacks, Envoy, Sentry-H 6120-BM, and the NGT family
Encryption supported AES-256 and CES-128 voice and data encryptors
Key fill methods KMS or KFS via VCOM virtual COM ports over the control point USB connector, or a USB memory stick
MISSION OUTCOME

KMS and KFS give communications teams a controlled, repeatable way to manage encryption across the Codan HF fleet, from generating secure key plans to loading them across the DTC product range. Whether keys move over VCOM or on a USB memory stick, KMS and KFS keep secure communications ready before the mission starts.
