A tactical 10 m tuned HF wire antenna delivering 2 to 30 MHz long-range coverage from a 550 g man-portable kit, deployable in spaces too constrictive for a full-size antenna.
A 10 m radiating element normally means bulk. The Long Wire Antenna packs the full length into a 550 g roll measuring 275 x 100 x 100 mm, so the antenna adds almost nothing to the load an operator already carries. A Kevlar element takes the tensile strain in place of a heavier wire, holding its length through repeated deployment and recovery. The result is full HF radiating length in a kit sized to a manpack.
Terrain and cover rarely leave room for a full-size antenna. The Long Wire Antenna deploys a 10 m radiating element and a 30 m throwing cord from a confined footprint, so teams raise an HF aerial in confined positions or under canopy. A supplied Codan manpack antenna adaptor mates the element to the radio, and a tactical anchor peg fixes the far end. Coverage spans 2 to 30 MHz across the HF band. Setup is fast.
Rated for operation from -30 to +75 °C, the Long Wire Antenna holds up where conditions turn against the mission. A Kevlar radiating element on brass and stainless-steel fittings gives tensile strength under repeated deployment and recovery. An olive-drab finish and a dynaproofed 8 oz canvas roll protect the equipment against the outdoor environment (UV, moisture, and dust). RoHS compliant. A safety label marks the 0.2 m safe working distance during transmission.

The Long Wire Antenna gives HF operators long-range reach from compact, man-portable equipment built for the field. For military teams working where space for a full-size antenna runs out, it raises a 2 to 30 MHz aerial in minutes and stands up to the operating environment. The Long Wire Antenna keeps the manpack radio connected when the ground gives you nothing to work with.
