RC50-C

HF EMAIL SOFTWARE

The RC50-C is HF email software delivering fast, error free email over HF radio at adaptive data rates up to 19200 bit/s, with STANAG 5066 interoperability and AES-256 encryption.

Remote teams still need email when internet and mobile networks are unavailable. Running on a standard Windows PC with Codan HF transceivers and RM50 data modems, the RC50-C software works in the background through a standard email client. Adaptive data rates respond to channel conditions, using the fastest reliable rate available and reaching up to 19200 bit/s with an ISB-capable transceiver.

HF email has to work across mixed networks and allied systems. STANAG 5066 support ensures interoperability with other manufacturers’ systems, while POP3 and SMTP compatibility keeps operation familiar. Enhanced CALM and ALE linking help select the best channel for each session, and gateway mode can connect remote HF stations to wider Intranet, WAN, or internet email services.

Email sent over HF needs strong protection. Over-the-air transmissions can be secured with AES-256 encryption, with support for third-party email encryption software for full end-to-end protection. The software is lightweight, requiring modest PC hardware while supporting reliable, error-free email in remote and contested communications environments.

LEARN MORE

UP TO 19200 BIT/S

Adaptive data rates up to 19200 bit/s with an ISB capable transceiver, controlled by BER measurements for the fastest reliable rate.

STANAG 5066

STANAG 5066 V1.2 Annex F.12 Compressed File Transport Protocol ensures interoperability with other manufacturers' systems.

AES-256 ENCRYPTION

Over-the-air transmissions encrypted with AES-256, plus support for third party software for full end-to-end encryption.

STANDARD POP3 CONTROL

Operated through a standard POP3 email client running in the background on a Windows PC over a single USB port.

CALM AND ALE LINKING

Enhanced CALM and ALE linking selects the best available channel for each data session, simplifying operation.

INTERNET GATEWAY

Configurable as a gateway to a wider Intranet or WAN for a fully integrated field email service.

MULTI-WAVEFORM SUPPORT

Supports MIL-STD-188-110A and 110B, STANAG 4539, 4285, 4415, and 4529 waveforms.

MISSION OUTCOME

RC50-C brings dependable email to operators working far beyond any fixed network. Running on a standard Windows PC with Codan HF transceivers and RM50 data modems, the software delivers adaptive data rates up to 19200 bit/s, AES-256 encryption, and STANAG 5066 interoperability with allied systems. A standard POP3 client keeps the experience familiar, while a gateway mode bridges HF stations to internet email. Designed and manufactured by DTC, a Codan Company, RC50-C gives military, commercial, and NGO teams HF email they can rely on.
